Hanna Ben-Haim Yulzari was born in Israel in 1956. Lives and creates in Jerusalem.
She received her art education in Bezalel Academy of Art and Design, Jerusalem. Hanna graduated with BFA (1980), MFA (1997) and MA (2019) in the program of "Policy and Theory of Art Bezalel" – Curatorial Studies.
Hanna is working in multiple media: photography, video, painting, installation and community art projects. Her art considers local Israeli themes, Israeli-Palestinian conflict, identity and memory, life and death.
Hanna is interested in Islamic and eastern culture; she is looking for the possibilities to break the colonialist way of seeing, and finding new ways of self-definition, which include the “other”, especially the woman.
As a curator, in her last exhibition she researched the connection between bedroom's intimacy and Art collection
Hanna participated in many exhibitions and screening all over Israel and abroad.
