אולו דבי

Oulu is an activist artist. her roots are strongly based in sculpture, but she works with a wide variety of materials and mediums. Her recent works involve installation, light sculptures, performance, photography, street art and community-based art projects. Oulu brings much honesty and humor to her work. Born in the USA, Oulu received her BA communication from UCSD. She worked as a 3D animator and web designer before becoming a full-time artist. Oulu continued her art studies, under the direction of artist Yehezkel Cohen, then the Midrasha Art School, and afterwards with Professor of art, Henry Lee Anderson, in his casting foundry. She also took a year-long course in community-based art at Shenkar School of Art and Design. While exhibiting in galleries, her favorite venues are alternative "non-art" spaces. Bringing art into contact with people in everyday settings such as bus stations, schools, public streets, and festivals.
